Telemedical Monitoring is the ability to remotely capture and transmit medical data for the purpose of monitoring an individual’s condition. The main advantage of this type of monitoring is that you, as a patient, can continue to report your health to your physician from the comfort of your own home.

The LifeguardSLU uses its exclusive MD Medi-care Device to allow certain medical devices to transmit their data over regular phone lines.  This data can be sent directly to your doctor, so you won’t have to leave the house.  Some medical applications supported by the LifeguardSLU interface are:

Spirometer for measurement of lung ventilatory capacity
